GPR Concrete Analysis Scan - Vail, Colorado

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was contacted by SRE Builders in Vail, Colorado to located conduits and post tension in a slab of concrete. The job site was in a lodge with guest currently occupying rooms as work was in progress. The customer was going to core drill 8” holes and 1” anchors into the slab of concrete. The lodge management requested scanning to be done for safe and efficient drilling so not to disturb the guest or the buildings integrity. Sonar was able to do this job safe and effectively in the timely manner that the lodge staff requested.

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems used a GSSI 1600 MHz antenna for this application to locate the reinforcement and conduits. All findings were marked directly on the concrete at customers request for easy interpretation. GPR emits no radiation and is safe for others to work in area near scan location. X-ray was also able to see through the entire slab to locate anything no matter how deep the object was in the concrete.
