GPRS Locates Reinforcement At Hotel - Vail, Colorado

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was contacted by RAL Companies to locate post tension cables at the Four Seasons Hotel in Vail Colorado. The customer was installing new electrical floor boxes and needed to verify the location of reinforcement before proceeding with installation. They needed to be assured that while chipping the concrete that they were not going to strike any post tension cables in the slab. They decided to use concrete imaging provided by GPRS to accomplish this task.

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems has no limitations to the size of area that can be scanned, and also has instant results so all of the findings were marked directly on the surface in real time with no waiting for films to be developed as with traditional concrete x-ray. GPRS was able to scan several large areas quickly and efficiently. Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was also able to give approximate depths of reinforcement so that the contractor had an idea how deep that they could chip before running into reinforcement. This was ideal for the customer as they were on a tight timeline and did not need any further delays in their schedule. Ground Penetrating Radar is the new way to x-ray.
