GPR Used To Locate Reinforcement In Denver, Co

GPR Used To Locate Reinforcement In Denver, CoGround Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. of Denver, CO was contacted by ThyssenKrupp Elevator of Centennial, CO to locate reinforcement at the St. Joseph’s Hospital addition in downtown Denver, CO. The customer was looking to penetrate the concrete slab to install elevator equipment. ThyssenKrupp did not wish to strike any reinforcement GPRS, Inc. was able to provide concrete imaging for the customer in a quick and convenient manner.

The work done for ThyssenKrupp was during normal work hours so there other workers on site doing their own duties. GPR was ideal in this situation because Ground Penetrating Radar emits no radiation and is completely safe to be around. No after hour scanning or imaging was needed as with traditional concrete xray. GPR also needs no extra time to develop films, or process data. All data findings are marked directly on the surface in real time in the easiest manner for interpretation for the customer. GPR also needs only one side of the concrete, further saving time and even more cost effective. Ground Penetrating Radar is the new way to x-ray!
