Locating Rebar in CMU Wall - Downtown Denver, Colorado

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. of Denver, CO was contacted by Architectural Element Design and Consulting of Denver Colorado to locate rebar in footer using concrete imaging. Architectural Element Design and Consulting needed GPRS to scan and locate reinforcement to show the amount of reinforcement in footer. The location of reinforcement was needed to show the strength and integrity of the wall to build an addition. GPRS went out to scan and locate rebar in a fast, accurate and safe manner.

GPRS used a GSSI 1600 MHz Mini Antenna to locate a rebar mat. All findings were marked directly on the surface at the customer’s request for easy interpretation with black sharpie. GPR was needed for this job to aid the customer with the decision whether the footer had enough rebar. Ground Penetrating Radar was successful with results of showing rebar in the area.
