Radio Detection Used To Locate Live Current Conduit - Colorado Springs, Colorado

Post-Tension Cable Locate - Colorado Springs, Colorado

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. of Denver, CO was contacted by the US Olympic Committee of Colorado Springs, CO to locate conduit in concrete slab below a suspended basketball floor at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO . The US Olympic Committee needed GPRS to scan and locate electric conduit so that they could safely core drill 8- 6” holes in concrete slab. The cores were needed to anchor elite gymnastics equipment to the concrete slab. GPRS scanned for electric current in a quick, accurate and safe manner.

GPRS used a Radio Detection Device to locate live current in slab. All findings were marked directly on the surface at the customer’s request for easy interpretation with red and blue tape for a no-mess clean up. GPR was needed for this job to keep the customer from core drilling into or through live power conduit. Ground Penetrating Radar was successful for an accurate and safe placing of the cores and anchors.
