Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. of Denver, CO was contacted by McDade Woodcock of Denver Colorado to locate rebar in concrete masonry unit using concrete imaging. McDade Woodcock needed GPRS to scan and locate reinforcement to show the amount of reinforcement and possible conduit in brick wall. The location of reinforcement and conduit was needed to safely core drill a hole for electrical lines. GPRS went out to scan and locate rebar in a fast, accurate and safe manner.

GPRS used a GSSI 1600 MHz Antenna to locate rebar. All findings were marked directly on the surface at the customer’s request for easy interpretation and no mess clean up with white tape and black marker. GPR was needed for this job to keep the aid the customer with the placing of a safe, accurate core. Ground Penetrating Radar was successful in safe placing of core.
